1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sorted (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. About Sorted

Sorted is a user-generated content platform that hosts reviews, ratings, and experiences shared by tenants about rental properties, societies, and landlords in India. We are an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Sorted is not a rental listing platform, broker, or rental service provider. We do not list properties for rent. We help tenants evaluate them.

3. User Accounts

You must be 18 years or older to create an account. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Create only one account. Provide accurate information.

4. Content Policy

When posting reviews, ratings, or other content on Sorted, you agree:

  • Your content is based on your genuine personal experience as a tenant
  • You have not been paid or incentivized to post
  • You will not include personal names of landlords, staff, or other residents
  • You will not include phone numbers, email addresses, or other personal contact details
  • You will not make specific allegations of illegal conduct without evidence
  • You will not post caste, religion, or other discriminatory content
  • You will not post threats, harassment, or obscenity

5. Reviews as Opinions

All reviews on Sorted reflect the personal opinions and experiences of the individuals who posted them. Sorted does not endorse or verify the accuracy of individual reviews, though we apply content policy and moderation checks.

6. Moderation and Removal

We may remove, edit, or reject content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Moderation decisions are at our discretion. Content owners may appeal within 30 days.

7. Grievance Redressal

If you believe content on Sorted violates these Terms, applicable law, or your rights, please file a complaint through our Grievance Portal. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days.

8. Landlord Accounts

Verified landlords may respond publicly to reviews of their properties and submit factual corrections to property metadata. Landlords cannot delete or suppress reviews. Landlord responses are screened for threats, harassment, and tenant identification before publishing.

9. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is." Sorted is not liable for decisions made based on reviews or data on the Platform. Always verify independently.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Sorted against claims arising from your content or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
