About Sorted
Every month, millions of Indians move into a new rental — and most of them do it without knowing what they're walking into. Will the society actually provide the amenities it advertises? Will the landlord return the deposit? Is the rent fair for the area?
Sorted exists to answer these questions with real data from real tenants. Think of us as Glassdoor for rentals — a place where the people who have lived in a building share their experience so the next person can decide with confidence.
What we do
- Society & landlord reviews: Multi-dimensional ratings on maintenance, amenities, safety, noise, connectivity, and value
- Rent Intelligence: See what others actually pay in the same society and area
- Deposit Shield: Photo documentation, agreement checklists, and evidence tools to protect your deposit
- Amenity verification: Community-verified reality checks on what societies claim
What we don't do
We don't list properties for rent. We don't charge tenants. We don't take commissions from landlords or brokers. Our only product is transparency.
Our principles
- Reviews are anonymous by default — tenants are protected from retaliation
- Landlords are identified by property, never by personal name
- Verified residents' reviews are weighted higher — quality over quantity
- We comply with Indian law — IT Act, DPDP Act, and tenant protection frameworks
